Letter of Commendation presented to Kevin by Mayor Mark Sutcliffe

Letter of Commendation presented to Kevin Frost in recognition of his outstanding achievements in sports.

Kevin Frost has distinguished himself as an award-winning athlete in a diversity of sports, most notably as a three-time world champion in blind speed skating, in addition to achieving nine records and being awarded eighty medals.

He has also earned the reputation as an accomplished athlete in blind rowing, blind track running, and tandem cycling.

Most recently, Kevin represented Canada in March of this vear at the International Blind Golf Association World Championships in Cape Town, South Africa

He merits accolades as well for his advocacy and humanitarian endeavours, including fundraising for the procurement of hearing aids for Mexican children.

On behalf of Members of Ottawa City Council, we salute Kevin for his athletic excellence.

Ontario Para-Cycling Race Series

Kevin had a great day yesterday!! He was  in Mississauga, Ontario attending the Ontario Para-Cycling Race Series. He and his pilot Scott won a silver medal and they also achieved 94% of Canadian tandem A standard.

It was a great way to end his road race season.

Kevin’s First Provincial and Open Canadian Blind Golf Tournament

Kevin just finished his first Provincial and Open Canadian Blind Golf Tournament and he won Overall Low Net. The inaugural event was held on August 12th to the 14th at Chippewa Creek Golf Course, near Hamilton Ontario. It was a three day event with Day 1 being practice rounds that coaches could play in and then two days of competition for blind and visually impaired golfers only.
